QIHET India[1] – Quality Improvement Health Education and Training India is registered as a Limited Liability Partnership Incorporated and Registered in the State of Sikkim, India since 2021.
Concept of QiHET India
QIHET India collaborates with QiMET International for promoting and co-implementing professional medical education and training programmes for West Bengal, Sikkim, and other parts of India in Emergency Medicine (EM).
Vision
QIHET India envisions to develop the medical and healthcare workforce in India to improve the quality of patient care by providing hybrid clinical and leadership programmes to support the implementation of the World Health Organisation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mission
QIHET India’s mission is to provide regional and national leadership with trained professionals in EM and other streams of medical expertise with management of quality care encompassing both rural and urban health providers.
Aims and Objectives
The three QIHET objectives are:

A symposium held on 19 December, 2020, with the Keynote by the Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare of Sikkim was attended by various medical professionals and policy makers.
This led to:
· Networking with various hospitals and medical institutions in Sikkim and Siliguri region of West
· Running the first cohort of Hybrid International in Emergency Medicine (HIEM) trainees at the National Training Centre at Anandaloke Multispecialty Hospital (AMH) from November 2021.
· Monthly Symposiums – QiMET International and QiHET India have been organizing E-Symposium every month for the benefit of interested medical professionals and policy makers as well as trainees and trainers of Medical Leadership and Emergency Medicine.
Other programmes planned are:
· Remote Emergency Primary Care Services in India (REPSIn), Sikkim for the Primary Health Sub-centres mainly in rural areas.
· QiMET Foundations to Emergency Medicine (QFEM) for Primary Health Centres in smaller townships and local administration units.
· HIEM National for Community Health Centres, four District Hospitals and the State Referral Hospital at the state’s capital Gangtok.
· QiMET Emergency Medicine Practitioner (QEMP) Training for ambulatory services and paramedics for all rural and urban centres.

The aims of the QiHET India team are to:
